Books that may help ...
Relationship problems: See books by Harville Hendrix. Search by author in Amazon.com (the "search" button on the home page in the upper-left corner).
I have read "Getting the Love you Want" and "Keeping the Love you Have (that title or something like it)" Both will help clarify emotional matters for couples.
Books on ESO by Alan Brauer, M.D., and Donna Brauer. In Amazon.com I couldn't find them by author, but they showed up in the subject list searching on "ESO". Excellent exercises for self-help in seriously expanding sexual communication and technique. ESO stands for Extended Sexual Orgasm.
For Diminished sexual desire, search for books on that subject by Helen Singer Kaplan, M.D., Ph.D.
For women who need to learn to feel sexual pleasure or more sexual pleasure, FOR YOURSELF by Lonnie Barbach, Ph.D. If you like her style, check out FOR EACH OTHER, the couple's book.
When I say no I feel guilty -- Manuel Smith, Ph.D.
An absolute CLASSIC in the field of communications and assertiveness training. I have had patients make MAJOR life changes (for the better) just from reading this book.
Encyclopedia of Unusual Sex Practices -- Brenda Love
An Unusual, one-of-a-kind book that is for the afficianado of sexuality. It is illustrated and challenges the knowledge of even the most sophisticated sex-ophile.
Anal Pleasure & Health -- Jack Morin, Ph.D.
The ONLY (so far) serious, professional book written on the topic of anal sexuality. Anyone who gets a special enjoyment from anal sex or pleasure will be glad to have purchased and read this book.
The Art of Sexual Ecstasy -- Margo Anand
Subtitled: The Path of Sacred Sexuality for Western Lovers -- I do not claim to have reviewed all the books out there on sex but this one is excellent in its coverage of the mind-body connection in sexuality. There are excellent exercises for individuals and couples as well as good instruction on how everything works. Peruse it in a bookstore to see if it's right for you.
The Erotic Mind -- Jack Morin, Ph.D.
Subtitled: Unlocking the Inner Sources of Sexual Passion and Fulfillment -- This is one of the most articulate descriptions of what energizes our sexual response and why we make certain decisions, especially when they are apparently self-destructive, in relationships. This is a more intellectual (and I think more generalizable) amplification on the themes addressed in "Women who love too much".
Sex - A Man's Guide -- Stefan Bechtel, Laurence Roy Stains, and the editors of Men's Health Books
An excellent source of information for men of all ages. In addition to a tremendous amount of information, there is a lot of advice and explaining related to relationship matters. Exquisitely practical and humorous. You are invited to visit their web site. Click here to return to the "Other Links" section in the Sexdoc's homepage; then scroll down to find the link to the book.
